RT hear has ear has excessive cerumen. LT ear has impacted cerumen. Would the RT be coded 69200-RT w/ FBR ear as dx? Cleaned with microinstruments.

And another encounter - exostoses, not impacted cerumen. Can I code this 69200 as well w/ FBR ear as dx? Cleaned under micro suction.

Ear wax is not a foreign body. Removal of non-impacted cerumen is not separately reported from the service requiring the clearance (eg, office visit). I hope that helps. Cindy
