Can you code 70553 twice on same day service for mri brain/iac with modifier 59. It takes twice the amount of time to do the iac. Or can we do seperate days. Tk

You cannot charge twice for only one procedure preformed. The code states. "........ and further sequences". I would imagine the extra time has already been calculated.

how about 2 seperate days of service for 70553.

You cant bill two separate days. MRI of the IAC is considered to be part of what is visualized in an MRI of the brain and therefore, is considered incidental to the MRI of the brain

Where is the justification for two separate days would be the question. If you performed the procedure one day and needed to repeat it that is different. However one procedure performed equals one charge.
