Wiki 71271 vs 71250

I am having difficulty finding the guidelines on the CT lung screening follow up. Six months prior patient had a CT Lung screening 71271 due to history of smoking and found nodules. Now she had a CT lung screening follow up, which should be 71250. I need that verification on paper so to speak and where to find the written guidelines to use 71250 instead of 71271. We bill with a TC modifier so the coders are not always looking at the report the way they should.

why can you not use 71271 again as it is also CT lung screening for cancer?

Allow one HCPCS code 71271 per annum. At least 11 full months must elapse from the date of the last screening.
