I am having difficulty finding the guidelines on the CT lung screening follow up. Six months prior patient had a CT Lung screening 71271 due to history of smoking and found nodules. Now she had a CT lung screening follow up, which should be 71250. I need that verification on paper so to speak and where to find the written guidelines to use 71250 instead of 71271. We bill with a TC modifier so the coders are not always looking at the report the way they should.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,
