Pt was treated for asthma by a physician. Physician administered a neb treatment. Pt was stabalized and discharged home. Pt returns to clinic later that day with another asthma exacerbation. This time the patient saw the NP who gave a second neb treatment. Would we report modifier 76 or 77?

Use the 76 as it was the same physician. You would use the 77 if they were treated in the ER with a neb and then came to your office later the same day and you then administered another one.
