Wiki 790.6 vs 794.8

I was under the assumtion that if the report reads patient has elevated LFT's we are to code with 790.6. Someone at work is saying to use 794.8.
Please help clerify. Thank you.

I use 790.6 also. The other code is for an abnormal function study or nuclear med scan of the liver.
