when coding 81002 and the pt comes in at a later date for the results is there a code just for the reading of the results or is that part of package?
 
I'm a little confused.....I'm not sure why the patient would come in later for the results of 81002, as it's just a urine dip. Usually, the sample is taken before the pt. is placed in the exam room, the MA or LPN or RN will dip the urine, and the results are immediately available. Then recorded on chart for physician prior to the exam. Can you give a few more details on this one?
