We had a provider that has used 81025 to screen for testicular cancer. Of course, the payer is rejecting for gender mismatch. I have looked for a temporary code but with no luck. Any suggestions? Will insurances pay for off label testing?

81025 specifically states it is a urine pregnancy test. Would you be able to use 81000-81007 instead? Based on the code descriptions I believe one of those would be more appropirate.

I'll sunbelt look into it, but unfortunately they ran a urine pregnancy test. It's an untested theory that is starting to get momentum but still not officially am approved use. Regular clear blue easy pretty much. Thank you so much for your in put.
