What are the MUE limits to Medicare for CPT 88304 Level III pathology? If there are multiple limits how should the units be split line by line?

I have another post regarding the same type of situation but for 86317 immunoassay. If anyones knows the MUE for Medicare for this code also I'd appreciate some insight.

I have been discussing this with our Medicare contractor CGS for some time now.... it is very hard to find the MUE's for most of the codes published. There is a database that has been published is on the CMS website and 88304 is not on the list with a specified number of MUE, and it is even harder to get them to actually give you a number when it comes to surgical pathology. The best reference I can point you to is the National Correct Coding Initiative Policy Manual for Medicare Services which has already been updated for 2013.
