Hello,

can anyone advise if they have experience billing cpt 88312 x3 , if special stain were from the same specimen box on block A1, A2, A3?

Hello, this excerpt below is from the code book. So for your scenario you can bill 88312 x3 for blocks A1, A2 and A3. As long as the pathologist documents in the final report the blocks that the stain was performed on.
