Would anyone be willing to share how they code a path dx of "negative direct immunofluorescence, skin, *site*". Thanks.
 
When there are no abnormalities on a diagnostic test you would generally code from the indication given on the physician's order for the test, such as the sign or symptom that prompted them to order this. If no reason for the test was given, then it might be necessary to contact the ordering physician for additional information.
