I do not have much experience in Ophthalmology billing so this might sound like a silly question but as silly as it may be I still need an answer

Under CPT code 92100 it states "Single-episode tonometry is a component of general ophthalmological service of E/M service"

My question is what does "single-episode" tonometry mean?

Just measuring your intraocular pressure once, as opposed to several times throughout a few hours or day or night session.
