OK... Provider has been billing a few of these and all are being denied stating "procedure not normally performed for members of this age range." I do not see anything in the CPT books stating there is any kind of restriction by age. Discussion with a GA Medicaid rep determined that this code should only be used for infants. So my question is, if this is in fact accurate, what codes should we be using for children older than infancy?
