Wiki 95816 and frequency of billing

Hello, for Medicare, is there a restriction on the frequency this code can be billed? I cannot find a policy on the frequency. We have a patient (new to my group), that needs an initial EEG and 24 Ambulatory EEG but had the EEG 95816 at the hospital two weeks ago.
I thought there was a six month limit in-between billing these codes, even by different providers but cannot find the policy on units/billing timeframe. Thanks

Thank you for the link. However, it does not state what the billing frequency is (I thought the limit was every 6 months). That is what I am looking for.

Pt was seen in the hospital for a possible TIA and is now being seen in our office as a new pt. Provider here wants our own testing.

But is it truly medically necessary to do your own testing? It is an additional expense to the patient for a test they literally just had done. Can the provider get and review the information from the hospital?
