Help

Medicare started denying 95938 stating inclusive.

Does anyone know where I can find this info & when it started?

Thanks for the help.

To be honest that doesn't make any sense to me. I looked it up on CMS and it is an NCCI "hard edit", with 95938 being the column 2 code. That means no modifier is allowed, and 95938 is included in 95819. What doesn't make any sense to me is that Somatosensory Evoked Potentials is a more involved study than a simple EEG, and in fact part of the SSEP is an EEG, that's how you get the readings after stimulating the peripheral nerves in the extremities. Hope I could help at least confirm the denial you got. Anybody know why this edit isn't the other way around?
