Needing the ASA crosswalk code for this procedure. Would greatly appreciate any suggestions.:o

It looks to me like there isn't an anesthesia code for this type of procedure. You may have to use the unlisted code. Also, is this something that typically requires a person to be under? If not the procedure should have modifier -23 on it, and if the physician doing the test doesn't use the modifier your anesthesia may be denied for med necessity. Anybody else have anything to add? Hope I could help! :)

Thank you for your response. This MEG procedure is newer technology and is a new piece of equipment at our facility, so there's not much info out there to research. We bill for Pediatric Anesthesiologists, so it is not unusual that many of our patients require anesthesia.
