One of our providers billed 96150 for the following scenerio: pediatric patient hit by a car, has yet to regain consciousness, psychologist is interviewing mother and obtaining patient history and educating her and the rest of the family on what to expect with traumatic brain injuries. I know it doesn't meet the criteria for 96150 but I'm not sure what code, if any, would be appropriate. Any assistance would be appreciated.
 
Health and Behavior Assessment

We just started using these codes and have had trouble with them, we did find that we had to use 316 ICD-9 as prime dx, this was for United. The other insurance companies where fine with a health or behavioral dx.
Not reimbursed to well.
