Question: Patient receives Mag Sulfate for 89 min, started 13:10 to 14:39 at 13:11 pt was given a Kytril Injection. I would code this 96365, 96375- the Kytril injection is being coded as a concurrent infusion 96368, how could this be? I have said numerous of times this is incorrect as an infusion is run more than 15 min and this injection is 1 min. Can somebody please clarify and let me know if I am wrong???

Thanks,

Kytril

Was the Kytril actually injected, as in IM or SQ or was it charted as infusion, less than 15 minutes? Infusion less than 15 minutes would be a push, yes. But if this was an injection as you are saying here , it is not a push.
