Would like to see if anyone could help here.... We have always billed the 96416-initiation pump infusion, but recently came upon the question of billing 96521-pump refill. Ex: Pt comes in on Monday for initiation (96416) and returns Tues, Wed for maintenance and pump refill, no other services- bill 96521? We do not own the pumps or cassettes, are we allowed to bill the 96521? Is documentation required by nursing staff to know it is a pump refill? Also, want to confirm that the 96521 is billable w/ chemo drugs as well as therapeutic drugs? Thanks
