When a child goes to the emergency room for a non surgical related illness they are told to followup with their pcp to check status. I have been billing a 99212 unless there is a change in illness or new presenting problems. I shouldn't use the 99024 since that is for postoperative f/u only, correct? Thanks :d

You would not use the 99024 and your level you bill should match the physicians documentation for that visit.
