Hello!

For those charging for new category 1 CPT 99072, how are you determining your price to report without an assigned RVU?

Thank you

I do not know how it was calculated, but my corporate office came up with $125. If I was still a private practice making these decisions in house, I don't think I would have made it that high. Maybe $50-$75. Yes, we are using some additional supplies, and yes the cost went up, and yes it takes an extra 30 seconds when scheduling to ask symptom/exposure questions, but $125 seems a bit excessive to me. It's not like anyone's paying it anyway. :ROFLMAO:

it was bc, aetna and uhc. all are now denying with november dates of service. I remember reading the phe was set to expire on 10/31 unless it was extended. I searched today and couldnt find any documentation the phe was extended.
