We are questioning whether the physician who is directly supervising the RN/LPN has to sign off on the notes when a 99211 is billed for an RN visit.
Does the M.D./D.O. have to sign off on the notes, or can the notes be signed by the RN/LPN?
The RN is meeting the criteria for billing the 99211. We are just unsure who is responsible for the signature.
Thanks!
