can physician bill 99211 if he/she has seen patient just for 5 mins?

99211 is not a code for physician services.
if the physician saw the pt, it would be a minimum 99212.
if the physician saw the pt, it would be a minimum 99212.

Would the 99211 vs 99212 when pt is seen, apply to NP's also?

99211 does not apply to a Nurse Practitioner's services.
99212 would be the minimum visit for an NP, too.

Thank you! Now to get all the providers on board with not billing a 99211....
