Patient is seen for a well visit, scheduled to receive vaccines, but does not. Physician councils patient for a while on vaccines. The doctor didnt state how long, but I will verify shortly.

I'm wondering if I can bill 99393 with 99401 if I use different diagnosis...

I've read numerous post/articles on this however I feel like I am getting different answers...

Coding 99393 with 99401

As per CCI Edits we can code 99393 & 99401 together using different diagnoses . It depends upon Insurance company policy & patient plan. We are coding these codes together. Some Insurance companies do pay for both codes while others do not.

Regards.
