Hey guy! I've always wondered if the provider is doing all that qualifies for a 99459 during a pregnancy for a cervix check and even if it's a separate problem visit for something else are we allowed to charge for 99459 during the pregnancy global period/episode? I would think not if it was for cervix check but maybe for a problem visit? I can't find any clarification if done specifically while someone is pregnant if that would just be global.

Thanks!

99459 is specifically an add on code. If you read the notes/instructions, it provides the listing of primary codes that 99459 may be added to. If the service is 0500F-0503F, you may not use 99459. If you are billing a problem visit that would require a pelvic exam, then 99459 could be appropriate.
