Baby born 4/22--not seen for the first time until the next day, 4/23, and then d/c also on 4/23.

Can 99463 be billed because the patient was 'admitted on 4/23' or because the baby was born on 4/22 does a different code need to be billed?
 
Initial care

99463 is for the "Initial hsoptial care" ... if this is the first time you've seen the child, this is your "initial" care (assuming another provider from your same practice, same specialty didn't see the infant the day prior).
