We have a new Gastroenterologist in our practice who would like to start billing for abdominal wall trigger point injections for musculoskeletal abdominal pain.

Are any of you doing this? If so, I'd love to know more about it.

Do you have the patients bring their own steroid that you have prescribed to the pharmacy?

How do you code for this? 20552 or 20553 depending on # of muscles?

Any coverage issues?
