Is a physician legally bound to accept what the insurance company pays as payment in full less deductible and copays, for non-contracted insurance plans, if the "accept assignment" box on the HCFA is checked? If so, what do others offices do to handle patients being seen who have an insurance plan that the physician is not in-network with?
