Hello,
I am having some confusion for when you would report the repair of the primary rupture Achilles codes (27650-2)
vs.
Secondary repair (27654)

My colleagues and I are finding examples showing that when Tendinosis or Tendinitis is the primary diagnosis, these are usually coded as the secondary repair code 27654.

If anyone has some good reference material on this particular subject, please share. I do not completely trust some of the resources we viewed.
