Hi,
Now I'm "doing" ortho surgery coding and have a report that states "chondroplasty of trochlea and ACL reconstruction with bone-patella tendon-bone autograft." These may be basic for all the pros so pardon my inexperience with orthopedic surgery. Is there a code that includes the autograft or do I use 29888? Is 29887 correct for the chondroplasty?

Double check your insurance. 29877 is the chondroplasty code for commercial insurance when done in a separate compartment; however, Medicare has a G0289 when done in a separate compartment. :)
