Just I need the confirmation.
99211 or 99201 is non-MD code.
99212 & 99202 to 99215 99205.....are only MD or DO and sometime DC or NP, PA & etc.

Acupuncturist ...can only charge 99211 & 99201

is this correct?
thank you

No 99211 and 99201 are physician and PA and NP. The 99211 is a provider level that can be charged when other qualified ancillary person are carrying out physician orders from a previous encounter while the provider in the office area.
acupuncturist can charge acupuncture codes found in the medicine section

Acutally, 99211 or 99201 with modifier 25, paid by all most all payer to licensed acupuncturist. However, to my question is 99211 & upper codes also payable with modifiery 25?. To my understanding, these codes are only payable MD, DO, DC & NP PA.
