I bill mental health services mostly for HSPPs, LMHCs, & LCSWs. I recently brought on a LCAC. Licensed Clinical Addictions Counselor. Does anyone know anything about IOPs & how to bill or even if I can?

Not sure where to start with him. Help!!
 
I am talking about an IOP group, how is this reimbursed? What type of providers do you deal with? Will MCR, MCD or commercial insurance pay?
 
I have two CSAC's, clinical substance abuse counselors. We bill using "H" codes, such as H0022 or H0005. There is only one insurance that did not take that and they walked me through how to bill for their company. We are also a government agency but do both inpatient and outpatient services. The reimbursement is not the greatest but my providers only have an associates degree so its about 1/3-1/2 of what we charge. Hope this helps.
