Hello,

I am a student at my local college studying E/M codes and how to assign them. Does anyone have any additional resources on how to do this? I checked all the threads and can't find anything anywhere. I would appreciate any help.

Here are some suggestions

E&M University (online)

check out Codapedia (also online)

There are a couple of E&M books out there that are great--check Amazon.com for used copies. Practical E&M by Steven Levinson, MD is a good one. But there are several others....do a search under books.

Purchase the study guide for the CEMC exam through AAPC. Not only will you learn E&M, but you can prepare for a specialty certification for later on.

Print copies of the 1995 and 1997 guidelines from CMS. Those are the definitive documentation guidelines.
