We had a gentleman in for a f/u. His visit was over & he was walking out of the office.
He then fainted, and the same doc he had just seen was called over to his side.
The gentleman was alert (without any resucitation), but new vitals were taken & a new assessment provided.
This is a new one for our little office. Can I use a seperate code for the "event" or does this need to be added to the E&M visit?

Thanks!

No two E/M visits can be reported on same day, Here as the physician is same and the new vitals and the second assessment were taken just in the same visit so you can combine the both the documentations and bill as one which might help in arriving to one level higher.
