Does anyone get reimbursed for patients that are obese and having a c-section? If so how are you billing these?? Should I use a 22 modifier along w/Obesity as a secondary diagnosis?
Please advise.

modifier 59 with 99135

Can anyone please tell me if modifier 59 needs to be added to 99135? Does anyone know where I can find documentation to show whether it should or should not be added? Thank you very much. We are having a big issue with this between our offices.

99135 is an add-on code, indicated by the plus sign (+) in front of the code in cpt. This means no modifier is needed, so your answer is no, you don't need the mod.
