These codes are based on the dosage that the patient receives. 96380 is to be reported with a 0.5ml dose of Beyfortus and 96381 is to be reported with a 1 mL dose of Beyfortus.
- CPT code 96380 is used for the administration of nirsevimab with counseling by a physician or qualified healthcare professional.
- CPT code 96381 is used for the administration of nirsevimab without counseling at the time of administration.
These codes were approved by the American Medical Association and are effective for dates of service on or after October 6, 2023
