If pt gets a flu vaccine done in addition to an an office visit, what administration code do I bill to Medicare? 90471 or G0008? Someone told me to use G0008 if the flu vaccine was the only procedure done, otherwise use 90471 but I wanted to check.

Flu administration for Medicare is G0008. 90471 in conjunction with the flu vaccine code will typically deny.
