Hello!
Has anyone else had trouble getting Aetna to pay for CPT 76377-26 when performed during diagnostic cerebral angiogram?
They are denying stating that "the interpretation and reporting is not allowed for payment as it is incidental and integral to the test or procedure that was performed." I would not consider 3D integral to the main component of the procedure as an angiogram can be performed without 3D.
We do follow the guidelines for billing this code and do not have trouble with any other payer. I am wondering if anyone has any advice on how to appeal this.
