I have a question in regard to code G0438 Annual Wellness Visit.
Scenario:
If our providers have doumented all the elements that is within the G0438 and all the elements for an annual routine physical and if female pap smear also is performed (99381-99387) (99391-99397).
What codes would you submit if you were submitting the claim to any of the Medicare HMO carriers (example for our area it is Humana Gold, Blue Advantage). Humana Gold has posted on their website "Annual Wellness Visits and Colorectal Cancer Screening Reminder Frequently Asked Questions and Answers for Health Care Providers"
codes (99381-99387) (99391-99397) "this physical may be conducted during the same 12 months as the annual wellness visit" but does not state if performed on the same day.
Would greatly appreciate your input.
