What would be the best post op aftercare code for trigger finger release?

it depends, it is aftercare when the provider is still "hands on" with the patient such as dressing changes or suture removal or fitting and adjustments, it will be surgical follow up if the provider is performing a surveillance to make sure all id good with the patient.

Yes, the provider is still hands on and it was a check up on the incision. Surgery was within 40 days. I thought that you use aftercare codes during the post op period and follow up codes beyond that.
