How would a follow-up visit for an ankle sprain (or any similar kind of acute injury) be coded in a primary care office. In other words, patient was seen a week or so prior and that visit was coded with an ankle sprain code and an E code. Would the same codes be used for the follow-up visit or would an aftercare code be used?
