I am looking for something in writing from Medicare on billing for after hours
office visit. Such as a patient gets a foreign body in eye on a Saturday or Sunday the ophthalmologist sees them in the office and we bill for the after hours visit. I need something in writing that states that they (Medicare) will or will not cover this and whether you can or cannot bill the patient for the extra charge.
