I have a patient who filed a worker comp claim because he has asthma and was sprayed by perfume at work. I can't find what dx to use or what e code. Help????

I would suggest 477.9 (allergic reaction to perfume in upper respiratory tract), 493.90 (asthma NOS). Unfortunately, I am not carrying book, so not able to tell you E-code for this.

I would suggest single code 493.00 (Allergic asthma with stated cause). This includs both asthma and allergic reaction due to external cause.
