Can you bill an E/M code (99211-99214) with allergy testing (95024, 95004)? Can you bill the E/M code if a patient comes in for allergy testing and then sees the doctor for plan of treatment on the same day? Can you bill a higher level E/M code if they come in for follow up of testing and another issue? Example: Patient comes in for final day of allergy testing, sees the doctor after testing for their GERD, hearing loss or other issue and also discusses treatment for their allergies. Is there a reference with the guidelines for this billing? Thanks!!!

Is it required to bill an EM code on the same dos as the allergy test, or can you bill just the 95004 and the pt will return for results/treatment options on a later date?

The interpretation of the allergy test are included in the testing CPT code ,I don't think it matters when they get results. You can bill an E/M with a modifier (25) when there it is a significant , separately identifiable service.
