Can you help me?

I am trying to find an allograft to use with an ORIF of humerus, distal condylar lateral fracture (24579). The only allograft code I can find is CPT 20930-20931, but these are to be used with spine surgeries only.

When I Googled it, I found an article from Supercoder.com, which states I could add mod-22 to the procedure to make up for the allograft code that I cannot find.

Any thoughts?

Shannon

There is no allograft code other than for the spine, if the surgery was truely more complex and the operative note documents such, then you probably could, but the hospital/ sx ct/ short procedure- facility is most likely providing it (the allgograft) and will bill and be reimbursed for it.
