I have been asked by the Ambulance service I bill for to find out if there is anyway to bill for having to call in extra manpower to transport a obese patient. When this pt needs to be transported anywhere the dept has to call in 4-5 extra men to pick the pt up. Does anyone know of a code for this and will medicare pay for it.
