Has anyone billed A EEG with 95827 (overnight recording)? I have researched several sites because it seems to me that this code should be for facilities (hospitals) only.

We currently bill 95853 for our A EEGs.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

We use 95853 for ambulatory EEG's as well. CPT 95827 does not indicate that this is only for hospital settings.

I am interested in where you found info for hospital use only information because that code pays a lot more! The only thing I can see that is different when I look it up is possibly the face to face monitoring vs unattended study.
