I need some advice on how to code a situation: A patient is having a temporal artery biopsy due to partial vision loss. Under medically directed supervision, our CRNA spends 1 hr and 5 min with the patient to monitor their heart rate. There is no anesthesia given. The usual pre op eval is done by and Anesthestist to determine physcial status and so on. I am thinking of using 99214 because it is an out pt procedure, and we have seen them before.
