Ok, not sure about this. Pt was getting PTA and was on the last day (37214). The Dr. did a SFA angioplasty in the morning, and then in the afternoon decided that she needed further intervention so took her back in and put a popliteal stent in. Is it ok to code both 37226 and 37224 since they were done in separate sessions?
 
If this is a Medicare pt., try using the New XE modifier for all codes for the second Sx. The new modifiers are not requiered until 1/1/15 but they can be used now. For Com. ins., I would just add a 59 on 37224.
