We have a patient with an angioplasty performed in the proximal SFA. The results were suboptimal and resulted in a stent placement. Following the stent placement there was noted to be a flow limiting dissection that extended into the proximal popliteal artery. An additional stent was placed in the distal SFA and proximal popliteal artery. Can we code for the additional stent placement in the popliteal artery?
